Accelerated Pre-Nursing Pathway

Complete pre-program coursework for Lake Michigan College’s nursing program in a series of 7-week courses. An accelerated cohort-based initiative allows students to complete their degree requirements quickly while building solid relationships with their classmates and instructors in a supportive community. To join the accelerated pre-Nursing cohort, you can speak with your academic advisor, who can assist you in signing up for classes and determine if the accelerated pre-Nursing Program is the right fit for you. Students wishing to participate in the accelerated pre-Nursing Program should have qualities like a strong work ethic, academic preparedness, a solid foundation in the sciences, and excellent time management skills. For this reason, it is strongly encouraging that students have a minimum of a 3.0 high school or college GPA. Classes are generally scheduled in the morning four days a week, with the option for specialized tutoring on Friday morning. Students should be available at this time.
