CAAP dates for Fall Semester 2014 are listed below.
Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency Test (CAAP) is a set of standardized tests developed to test college skills at or near the end of two years of college. Students taking the CAAP tests will be given, on a random basis, either Writing & Science OR Mathematics & Critical Thinking.
Your participation in LMC’s outcome assessment program is important. CAAP helps the faculty determine how well its students compare to other students in community colleges throughout the country. The faculty will study the results for students as a group to confirm program strengths and identify areas in the curriculum that need to be strengthened. Your scores will be kept confidential.
What is in it for you? How do you benefit?
In the month following your participation you will receive a printout of your scores on the tests. Your score will be compared to national norms as well as local norms at LMC. Those students scoring above national norms will receive a certificate from ACT indicating their high performance level. This is a safe way for you to get an assessment of your academic skills without affecting your grades.
Description of the CAAP Tests
Each test requires 40 minutes for completion. An additional 10 minutes are needed to complete background information. These are multiple-choice tests. There is no need to study or prepare for these tests. View a sample of the test.
The CAAP tests will be offered at the times listed below; you must attend the entire session in order to test. You must reserve a seat for CAAP Testing. Please select the option most convenient for you and email Robin Tober with:
