The Board of Trustees of Lake Michigan College (College) requires that the College president establish, occupy, and maintain a dwelling within 20 miles of the nearest boundary of the College as their “primary residence”. “Primary residence” is intended to mean where they eat their meals, receive their mail, sleep, maintain their voter registration, driver's license address, tax address, and in all manners maintain as a normal residence. The above distance limitation will be measured in a straight line between the president’s residence and the nearest boundary of the College. The president must occupy their primary residence within 60 days of their employment hire date.
