Support LMC

A mission to educate our region

Thriving communities nurture, attract and retain an educated workforce. Training and education lead to higher incomes, successful business and industry, and a better quality of life.

To help prepare southwest Michigan for the careers of today and tomorrow, Lake Michigan College is developing the programs, services and facilities that create first-class student experiences that draw people of all ages and backgrounds to pursue higher learning.

Why is this important? Because by the year 2020, more than 70% of Michigan jobs will require some training after high school, yet only 37% of Berrien County residents and 29% of Van Buren County residents who are working age have earned a post-secondary credential.

LMC is donating Personal Protective Equipment from our academic programs and manufacturing new PPE in our Fab Lab. If you would like to contribute to these efforts, choose "Donate" and "Covid Relief Fund" from the menu below.

The Lake Michigan College Foundation offers several ways to give - you're sure to find one that meets your own giving goals.

Get some fun out of giving back at the LMC Foundation's fundraisers!

At Lake Michigan College, we could not provide high-quality, affordable education without the amazing support we receive from our community. Our three annual events offer a little something for everyone, and are a great way to have fun and fundraise for LMC.

Winner's Circle Benefit Auction

If your idea of fun is wining, dining, dancing - and bidding on something out of the ordinary - mark your calendars for the first Saturday of March. The Winner's Circle Benefit Auction features a silent auction full of unique items, plus an exciting live auction offering one-of-a-kind experiences.

To date, the Winner's Circle Benefit Auction has raised more than $5 million for student scholarships. Featuring appetizers and drinks, gourmet dinner, live and silent auctions, raffles and live music, this event offers an entire night of entertainment to support LMC students.

Annual Golf Outing

Looking for a good excuse to hit the course? Join us for the Lake Michigan Foundation annual Golf Outing, benefiting the Red Hawks intercollegiate athletics program. You'll have a chance to play where the pros play, all for a good cause.

This 18-hole, best ball scramble is hosted at Harbor Shores, host to the 2020, 2022 and 2024 Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid®. Proceeds go to the College’s Intercollegiate Athletics program and help fund equipment, uniforms and team travel.

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a global movement to kick off the holiday giving season, celebrated the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and after Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping events. Giving Tuesday is a great way to invest back into our community, and helps our students with scholarships, technology investments and more.

We know that time can be just as - if not more - valuable than money. At Lake Michigan College, we're always looking for help from the community. Whether you're looking to make a direct impact on students, take advantage of the exciting entertainment coming to campus or set the direction for the future, we have a place for you to volunteer at LMC.

Help guide students on an Advisory Committee

Advisory Committees serve a wide range of functions - everything from helping faculty set curriculum to awarding scholarships to advising students. We have a wide variety of committees in different majors and areas of study - you can find more details here.

Help guide the community at the Mendel Center

Mendel Center volunteers have the chance to see Mainstage performances up close and personal - but that's only part of the work they do. They also help us with other college events, like the Lake Michigan College commencement ceremony, student performances and recitals, Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan Speaker Series, Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra performances, Blossomtime festivities and more. Find more information on volunteering at the Mendel Center here.

Help guide the college on the Foundation or Alumni boards

The Lake Michigan College Foundation board members help set the vision for the college, ensuring LMC remains the best value in the region for higher education. The Alumni Association board also works to help advance the college and recognize the contribution of graduates.
