COVID-19 Update - March 13

The COVID-19 situation is fluid and evolving quickly. LMC officials are maintaining close communication with our partners and public health experts and we will keep the public informed about college updates when new information is available.

Campuses Closing on Fridays
LMC campuses will close on Fridays to allow us to maximize cleaning time and reduce employee exposure. All campuses will be open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday, March 16 – April 10. We plan to resume normal hours on April 13.

Services Still Available
Essential services for current and prospective students will remain available in-person or remotely. Before visiting campus, please call the main line at (269) 927-1000 or use the online directory to look up a specific person. Visitors to our campuses must follow prevention recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These include:

If you are sick, stay home and call your doctor.
Wash your hands thoroughly and often.
Cover your mouth/nose when coughing or sneezing (into a tissue or a bent elbow).
Practice social distancing by six feet.
Keep your personal work spaces clean and disinfected.
Avoid those who are sick.

Many Events Cancelled
We’ve had to cancel many upcoming events to limit social gathering and slow the spread of COVID-19. Please check our online calendar, visit the Mendel Center website or contact the organizer to see if your event is cancelled before visiting the College.

Students and employees should update their contact information on WaveLink to receive emergency text, phone and email messages from our RAVE Alert system.

Classes Moving Online
All face-to-face, in-person classes are cancelled Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20. Classes that are currently delivered online will continue as normal.

On Monday, March 23, all classes will be delivered via distance learning if possible. Some courses may not be able to be delivered via distance learning. Detailed information and instructions pertaining to each individual class will be communicated to students directly from college faculty.

On April 13, we are planning to resume all classes as usual.
