Journeyman: A Tribute to Eric Clapton coming to the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center April 4

The Lake Michigan College Mendel Center has announced a new addition to its 2023-2024 season. Journeyman: A Tribute to Eric Clapton, the No. 1 selling North American tribute to Eric Clapton, is coming to the Mendel Center Mainstage at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4.

Journeyman: A Tribute to Eric Clapton is fronted by Shaun Hague. Hague has built quite the resume in the last decade of his life. At just 17, he was named “The Best Young Blues Guitarist” by The House of Blues. By 21, he was playing guitar for blues phenom Kenny Wayne Shepherd. His career has also seen him share the stage with Amos Lee, John Waite, and Terra Naomi, perform on Jay Leno, and sit in with John Fogerty.

Joining Hague on stage are Robert Monroe on keyboard and vocals, Darius Peterson on drums, Dina Bach on vocals and percussion, and Brandon Stephens on bass.

The Journeyman show has toured coast to coast, performing classics from Clapton’s vast music catalog. With over 50 years of music to choose from, Journeyman covers it all — "Layla," "Badge," "The Core," "White Room," "Lay Down Sally," "Tulsa Time," "Cocaine," and many more.

Tickets for Journeyman: A Tribute to Eric Clapton start at $25 and are available now at www.TheMendelCenter.com/events and by calling 269-927-8700, option 1. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Mendel Center box office on weekdays from noon-2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. and two hours before show times in the Mainstage lobby.
