This course satisfies the CPR requirement for Lake Michigan College Health Science program students and for individuals currently working in healthcare.
The Basic Life Support Provider is a four (4) hour course that provides health care professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to perform CPR. Students will learn how to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies and how to properly use an automated external defibrillator (AED). American Heart Certification issued upon successful completion of the course. There is a maximum of 14 participants per session.

A minimum of four students is required to run a CPR class. If we do not meet minimum enrollment, you will be notified via e-mail and issued a refund through Eventbrite. Cash and check payments are not accepted at this time.

The Heartsaver course is a four hour course in which community members will learn how to recognize when someone needs CPR, how to call for help, and how to give CPR and use an AED. Participants can also learn the basics of first aid, how to recognize emergencies, and how to help. Email the Health Sciences office or call (269) 927-8768 for scheduling information.
