The WorkKeys test is approximately three hours in length. It consists of three parts covering Applied Mathematics, Locating Information and Reading for Information. Students can take this test at the Lake Michigan College Placement Center for free if they are a prospective CNA student, but if they do not meet the needed score on any of the three modules, they can re-take the test for $25 per module. Students must reach a Bronze level in order to qualify for the CNA program.

This test is not a placement exam, but helps us gauge if a student is ready for the Short Term Training format and for the workforce. We will also accept scores from a Work Keys exam taken up to 5 years ago at other schools or testing facilities. Copies of the scores or certificate must be provided to the Health Science Department.
