Mike Nadolski, who joined Lake Michigan College’s Mendel Center in October 2012 and serves as Executive Director, Mendel Center Operations and Director of The Economic Club of Southwestern Michigan Speaker Series, has announced his retirement from the college, effective Feb. 3.

It has been a few years since the music of The Temptations, Miracles, and Contours blared out of every car in America, but the music of Motown lives on in movies, commercials, and in a new holiday show that hits Lake Michigan College's Mendel Center Mainstage at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18.

The Lake Michigan College Visual & Performing Arts Department presents the Fall Drama Showcase at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9. The showcase will be held in the LMC Mendel Center Hanson Theatre on the Benton Harbor Campus located at 2755 E. Napier Ave.

Lake Michigan College and the MLK Celebration Committee seek original artwork submissions honoring Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as well as choirs and choral groups to participate in the community-wide MLK Celebration Week, scheduled for Jan. 14-20, 2023.

On Thursday, October 13, the 2022 Trends Outstanding Educator Awards were presented in Grand Traverse, Michigan.

Lake Michigan College will host local manufacturing companies looking for employees and manufacturing job seekers at its Manufacturing Career Night from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the Hanson Technology Center on the Benton Harbor Campus.

Employers in Southwest Michigan who are expanding or locating operations in the region will now have access to $500,000 of free training through Lake Michigan College and the Michigan New Jobs Training Program.
