Auditions for "Sister Act"

ATTENTION: Auditions are cancelled for Jan. 22 and will occur Jan 23 and 24.

Auditions for Lake Michigan College Performing Arts Department's Spring production, “Sister Act,” will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 and Wednesday, Jan. 23 in The Mendel Center Hanson Theatre on LMC’s Benton Harbor campus. Participants should bring at least two contrasting selections of 32 bars of musical theatre to perform from memory. An accompanist will be provided, so please bring sheet music as well.

The feel-good musical comedy smash features original music by Tony-and-eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken with lyrics by Glenn Slater and book by Cheri Steinkellner and Bill Steinkellner. “Sister Act” is based on the 1992 hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg and is directed by LMC Theatre Coordinator Paul Mow.

“Sister Act” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.
