When Lake Michigan College (the College) has an Emergency Closure (e.g., closes due to weather or other sudden, unexpected occurrences), employees are expected to work remotely as a Remote Learning & Working Day. If the College closes for any reason and the employee is already at work, the employee is expected to work remotely for the remainder of that day’s work schedule.
If an employee is unable to work remotely, the employee must let their supervisor know as soon as possible to minimize any disruption of services. The employee will be required to use Vacation or Sick Leave for that day or hours.
