In 2019, Jake moved to West Michigan from Illinois with a degree in Business Administration and Sport Management. Coaching basketball and helping people better their lives had always been a passion of his, and after sitting in a cubicle for most of his early career, he decided that a change was needed. Jake obtained the role of Assistant Men's Basketball Coach at LMC in September of 2020 and has continued to develop student-athletes at a high level both on and off the court, and has helped lead LMC to four NJCAA Region XII Tournaments in five years, but he wanted to expand his impact on the Benton Harbor and Southwest Michigan communities. Jake has served in multiple roles within the Upward Bound program, including Academic Programs Coordinator and Director, and continues to guide students of Upward Bound to live successful lives.
