Keith Freier serves as an Academic Program Coordinator at Lake Michigan College, where he plans, coordinates, and assesses academic support services to promote student success and retention. With more than ten years of experience in education and student-focused service, Keith has worked across K–12 education, higher education, and correctional settings. He brings a strong background in academic advising, curriculum development, and individualized student support, with a particular passion for working with traditionally underserved and nontraditional students.

Keith holds a Master of Education in Leadership from Wayne State University and Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University. His work is guided by a commitment to equity, access, and helping students achieve their educational and personal goals.

Keith is deeply committed to the Upward Bound mission of increasing college access, persistence, and completion, and he takes pride in empowering students to recognize their strengths, advocate for themselves, and achieve their educational goals.
