Career and Transfer Center

The Career and Transfer Center, in Room A-201 on the Napier Avenue Campus, is available to provide support services as you search for your career or employment, or to help you transition by either transferring into Lake Michigan College or from the College to a four-year college or university. A Career and Transfer Center coordinator is available to provide comprehensive support in all aspects of workforce development.

The Career and Transfer Center has a Laptop Loan program where students can borrow a laptop computer, TI-84 and TI-34 calculators and digital recorders. Career exploration, local job postings, work study applications, transfer information and other support services are included.

Posting a Position(s)

If you are an employer who wishes to post a position on our job posting system, please register with College Central. Lake Michigan College will send you an e-mail with confirmation of your registration, your id and passcode and then you can log in to post your job(s). You will only need to register the first time you post a position. LMC will keep the position(s) posted for 30 days unless you contact the Career & Transfer Center and request that the position(s) be removed earlier, or you may request that LMC keep the job active for another 30 days.

Earn and Learn Internship Program sponsored by Whirlpool
The Earn and Learn Internship Program is funded by a $500,000 gift from Whirlpool Corporation and the Whirlpool Foundation. The program is administered by the Lake Michigan College Career & Transfer Center and is designed to encourage LMC students to participate in, and local businesses to support, student internships. Student Employment/Work Study
The Work Study Program is a federally and institutionally funded financial aid program that provides employment opportunities for students to work on campus, as well as in several community service positions. Learn about eligibility requirements and available positions.
