Career and Transfer Center

The Career Center, in Room A-201 on the Napier Avenue Campus, is available to provide support services as you search for your career or employment, or to help you transition by either transferring into Lake Michigan College or from the College to a four-year college or university. A Career and Transfer Center coordinator is available to provide comprehensive support in all aspects of workforce development.

The Career and Transfer Center has a Laptop Loan program where students can borrow a laptop computer, TI-84 and TI-34 calculators and digital recorders. Career exploration, local job postings, work study applications, transfer information and other support services are included.

All new students enrolled at Lake Michigan College as of Fall 2017 have been pre-registered to use our College Central services. Select the Activate link to complete the registration process.  

Students enrolled prior to Fall 2017 and community members without an account will need to go to "Create Account”.  If you have an established account, “Sign in”.

Earn and Learn Internship Program sponsored by Whirlpool
The Earn and Learn Internship Program is funded by a $500,000 gift from Whirlpool Corporation and the Whirlpool Foundation. The program is administered by the Lake Michigan College Career & Transfer Center and is designed to encourage LMC students to participate in, and local businesses to support, student internships. This program accepts applications in the spring for summer employment to qualified participants.
