As a child development major, you might enjoy a variety of career options after you graduate including a child care teacher, an assistant director or director of a child care facility, a private preschool teacher, nanny, director of a preschool program, an elementary school assistant, or Head Start assistant.

The child development program also offers courses for those seeking application for their Child Development Associate (CDA) credential through the state of Michigan. The CDA credential is the most widely recognized credential in early childhood education and is a key stepping stone on the path of career advancement.
