I learned English as a second language and I need to take the TOEFL iBT. Is this test available at LMC?

LMC does not offer the TOEFL iBT test, but the TOEFL iBT is currently available online. It is still required for ALL Non-Native English Speakers (NNES) who learned English as a second language.

Setting up the TOEFL iBT requires a computer with a Windows Operating System. You will download and install software to run the TOEFL iBT. For information on how to set up the TOEFL iBT, NNES applicants are strongly advised to e-mail Daniela Ortiz, ESL Program Administrator, at dortiz@lakemichigancollege.edu

NNES applicants MUST complete the TOEFL iBT Test with a score of 84 or higher, with a speaking subscore of 26 or higher, BEFORE taking the HESI A2.

If I am not admitted to the Fall 2020 cohort, does my application automatically roll over to Spring 2021? Do you use a waiting list?

No. LMC does not use a waiting list for admission. Students who are not admitted for Fall 2020 must submit a new program application. Your application will not automatically roll over to Spring.
